1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Dude Lemon, LLC ("Dude Lemon," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal data in connection with SearchLift, an AI search-visibility tool that audits a business's website, monitors how search engines and AI assistants represent its business, tracks AI-referred traffic, and helps publish search-optimized content (the "Service"). A business that installs and uses SearchLift is a "Merchant."

2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use a Merchant's data for advertising. The SearchLift analytics script is designed to measure aggregate traffic and visibility rather than to identify individual visitors.

4. AI Features and Monitoring

To analyze visibility and to generate content and accuracy checks, data is processed by SearchLift's own AI. Separately, as a core feature, SearchLift queries third-party AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok) to observe how they answer questions about the Merchant's business, so the Merchant can see and improve how it is represented. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided as an aid; the Merchant is responsible for reviewing it before relying on or publishing it.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data under these legal bases: contractual necessity (providing the Service), legitimate interest (operating, securing, and improving the Service), consent where required, and legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing done before withdrawal.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information only: with the service providers below who help operate the Service and are contractually bound to protect it; where required by law, regulation, or legal process; in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice); and with your consent.

7. Sub-Processors and Integrations

To operate SearchLift we rely on the providers below. Each receives only the data needed for its function, governed by its own terms and privacy policy:

8. Controller and Processor Roles

When you set up a SearchLift workspace or contact us directly, Dude Lemon is the data controller for your account data. When a Merchant uses SearchLift to analyze and improve its own site, the Merchant is the controller of that site and business data and Dude Lemon acts as a processor (a "service provider" under U.S. privacy law) on the Merchant's behalf and under its instructions. If your data was collected through a Merchant's use of SearchLift and you wish to exercise privacy rights, please contact that Merchant; you may also contact us and we will route your request appropriately.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland to countries not deemed adequate, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices, to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Connected-account access can be revoked by the Merchant at any time.

12. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your SearchLift account and personal data directly in the dashboard under Settings → Delete account. You can also submit a request through our data request form or by emailing [email protected]. We complete verified requests within 30 days, subject to records we must retain by law.

13. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us. We respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first.

14. CCPA / CPRA Rights (California Residents)

California residents have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, its sources and purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with; to delete personal information; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising); and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To submit a request, contact us; we verify identity and respond within 45 days.

15. Children's Privacy

SearchLift is a business tool and is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we learn we have done so without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

16. Policy Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
